Our bicentennial farm in Berryville, Virginia.
We are located near the Shenandoah River, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Appalachian Trail in the Northern Shenandoah Valley near Washington D.C.
Smithfield Farm has long been appreciated as one of the most loved classic B&B’s in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. It has garnered 100’s of 5 star reviews over a wide range of sites. Guests have commented that it was a relaxing step back in time, provided unbelievable views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and was truly an historic farm stay. Charles Town, WV with its historic downtown as well as the Charles Town Race Track and Casino and neighboring Shepherdstown, WV has a wonderful historic Main Street, a renowned University and several excellent restaurants. Of course, no visit to the area would be complete without a visit to Harpers Ferry National Historic Park. For those looking for outdoor activities both nearby Clarke County and Harpers Ferry offer canoeing and tubing as well has hiking on the Appalachian Trail or any of the other less challenging trails in the area. Now guests can enjoy this special place with more privacy and space. Perfect for Romantic Weekends, Anniversaries, Wine Country Trips and Girls Weekends, whether for shopping, reminiscing or just hanging out.
The entrance to the 1824 Manor House is a classic Federal Period center hall. To your left is the bright and cheery dining room which accesses a service hall leading to a half bath and fully equipped kitchen. On your right is a spacious parlor/living room with comfortable seating.
Continuing down the center hall, on the right is our TV and game room.
The back door leads to a covered porch with seating and a beautiful view of the gardens, barn and gazebo.
Upstairs are three bedrooms with spectacular views of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding farm pastures.
The Wellford Room
The Wellford Room features a king size bed, and soft blues setting the tone for a relaxing evening. The en-suite bath features a claw-foot soaking tub and a separate shower.
The Randolph Room
Natural woodwork and forest greens welcome guests to relax and rejuvenate in the Randolph Room, with a king size bed. An en-suite shower bath awaits you in the morning.
The Jacquelin Room
Apricot pink and lace touches in the Jacquelin Room complement the king canopied bed. Across the hall is the private bathroom with an oversized soaking tub and separate shower.
The accommodations are the perfect setting for a relaxing country getaway. Our family home works equally well for couples when a bit of extra space is desired, or parties of up to six.
